Yellow dress.

What I've been wearing for the last couple of days. Black and yellow. Sounds awful, but it really works.

February 19 is the 50th day of the year in the Gregorian calendar. There are 315 days remaining until the end of the year (316 in leap years).

Today is my birthday! My mom had made the table all pretty for me and put out my birthday presents from her, Linda and Ole. I got a book with bread and soup recipes and soup bowls, hooray! She'd cooked me coffee and hot water for tea. And she came home early from work with food and cake.
That's a pretty good start for the day, don't you think?
Later I'm going over to Malene's, she and her boyfriend are hosting a birthday party for me. So we're going to blow up balloons ♥ until the guests arrive.

Other things that happened the 19. of February:
1594 – Having already inherited the throne of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth through his mother Catherine Jagellonica of Poland, Sigismund III of the House of Vasa is crowned King of Sweden, succeeding his father John III of Sweden.

1859 – Daniel E. Sickles, NY congressman, was acquitted of murder on grounds of temporary insanity. This was the 1st time this defense was successfully used in the United States.

1878 – The phonograph is patented by Thomas Edison.

1963 – The publication of Betty Friedan's The Feminine Mystique launches the reawakening of the Feminist Movement in the United States as women's organizations and consciousness-raising groups spread.

1986 – The Soviet Union launches its Mir spacecraft. Remaining in orbit for 15 years, it is occupied for 10 of those years.

What I'm wearing:

Dress from desireclothing.co.uk, socks and cardigan from Cubus, tights from Lindex, button-ring made by me, Etsy rose necklace, vintage bag and boots.
The tiara was a gift from Maritn and Bjørn Magnus at my 18th birthday, so I have to wear it today ♥

Black nails, black buttons and a black ring.

Monday, Monday, Monday. Why must you come right after the weekend, I'm usually to tired for there to be a Monday! Hehe.
Me and Heidi took our group, consisting of only her and me this Monday, down to look after the cafè. The head of the cafè wasn't feeling to good so she went home, feel better soon Beate!
We talked about photography, computers and Photoshop. There wasn't a lot of people there today, so keeping an eye out for it wasn't the hardest job in the world. Luckily someone showed up for the lunch shift, cus' at lunch time it's usually full house!

I want to make black button into rings, this one in particular.
"Will this button make a good ring ?"

Snow, sun, creativity and singing.

Another beautiful sunny day.
I didn't get to go out and take any pictures today though, I had to rest when I got home cus' I had choir practice later in the evening (having CFS I need more rest than most people).
Today's pictures are from mine and A Sunday walk at Rakke, an old closed military base at the coast. Snowy, sunny and lovely ♥

What I'm wearing today:

atmospheric phenomena accompanying the daily disappearance of the sun

Waves under the ice.

Another beautiful sunset ♥
He picked me up after work and we went for a short walk at Sukkersletta.

Today was also spent at Verket, I taught away a bit about photoshop and also picked up a few tricks from Heidi. Then we had some lunch, which is free for me now that I signed the
volunteer photographer contract.
Haha, I definitely work for it though. Me and Heidi took some pictures, and I tipped her about my fabulous 50mm lens (that my darling sold me recently), and she called me later and told me she'd found one for her Canon camera and had ordered. Yay.

What I wore:

Vero Moda jeans leggings and waist belt, Cubus cardigan, H&M scarf,
vintage boots and traveler bag, Etsy rose necklace.

the time in the evening at which the sun begins to fall below the horizon

This Saturday, me and A enjoyed an amazing sunset in the snow at Ølbergholmen.
We'd brought cocoa and cameras.
