How do you make your backgrounds and headers?
I don't make the background, someone else more talented at it did that ;) hehe. But I make my headers, I take photographs and put them together in photoshop CS4. What I usually do is that I surf around other people's blogs for ideas on how to do both :) inspiration is always good!
And what are your thoughts on including your friends pictures in your blog?
The only thing you can do is to ask. Most of my friends know about my blog because I ask them if I can post their pictures (and mention their names), or from my links at facebook, and most of them don't really care about it. I've got some compliments, some shrugs and my BFF Sven thinks that blogs are stupid xD
I hope it won't be too private. So, how have you known A? Where have you met him the first time? I don't remember if you told us about it before.
I met him at
Sporet on a Friday night. I actually wasn't feeling like going out, but I'd made a date with a girlfriend of mine that I really didn't want to miss so I went.
There was two other people in the cafè, other than me and her, a guy I'd met before and some other shy looking fellow that I spotted in the corner of my eye.
Having decide the other weekend to give up guys I though I'd give this last one a chance, even though I'd told myself to just not bother with men anymore. And I'm sure glad I talked to him. Being as smart as he is, he borrowed me his 50mm lens, so that we had to see each-other again. The photo-trip we took to
Bøkeskogen was out first date ♥
Oh, I have a question! Where do you get your sense of style? It looks a bit japanese (but has cleaner lines, which I love).
I draw a lot of inspiration from cute Japanese girls, so it's a definite influence. Other than that I just watch what people wear around me, and around the web of course.
And, what IS Cafe Verket? Is it like a art shop/gallery/cafe? It looks wonderful.
Cafè Verket is a cafè with art exhibits rolling over 6 months at a time (I think). It's run By Verket Fritid and they focus on including people who don't have a lot of money and perhaps don't have a job (for whatever reason), so there's really cheap coffee and lunch. And if you wish you can join Verket Fritid as a member and participate in workshops and groups, like the photo-group me and Heidi have.
Can you tell us a bit about your medical condition and how it affects your day to day life or fashion choices.
Well, I have ME/CFS. Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS or ME) is a condition that causes extreme, debilitating fatigue. There are also many other symptoms that usually follows the fatigue when a person with CFS gets physically or mentally
exhausted. Some of these are pain in the joints and muscles, headache, sore throat, loss of concentration, blurry vision and nausea. CFS does not have one known cause, but appears to result from a combination of factors. I've been sick for 8 years now.
It effects my days, of course, I have to rest a lot, and if there's a lot of stress I will get worse quickly
(like PAMINYOURFACE-now-your-feeling-awful-all-of-the-sudden) and then get better slowly..
At some time I decided that even though I was sick and housebound there was no reason why I shouldn't look great. Clothes was a nice way to feel a bit better, even when my joints were aching and my head felt like it was floating around in space.
I've gotten a lot better for the past few years, but I'm not completely recovered. If I'm under too much pressure I get sick quickly. So I try to stay positive, and to not think about my ME too much. Some times it easy, some times it's hard.
What is your favourite flower?
Liljekonvall? I like pretty much all flowers :) Like with colors, I don't really have a favorite one.
Do you do anything special when you style your hair?
I wash it once or twice a week, the fringe I wash a bit more often, and I use a conditioning treatment every now and then. Currently I'm trying out
Biosilk silk therapy treatment.
I use mousse in my hair after I've washed it then I blow-dry upside-down for volume. And that's pretty much it.
How many languages can you speak?
I can't speak Swedish or Danish well, but I think that if I stayed in any of those countries for longer periods of time I probably would.
Other than Norwegian I can just speak English. And I know a few words on Polish, like
kot (cat),
kocham cię (love you),
chmury (clouds),
pies (dog) and
las (forest). Oh, and
słuchać, which means "listen to me", that and kocham cię is my favorite words so far.
Favourite and least favourite thing about blogging?
Doing it and
having to do it. Double jeopardy, hehe.
Who do you live with? Parents, roomate, etc.
I'm moving out with A soon ♥
What do you do for a job?
I'm still recovering from ME/CFS so I can't work yet. But if I could choose I'd like to work as a photographer, for a commercial company or having my own studio ♥
How many siblings do you have?
Two, my sister and a brother :) both older.
Is your family big (lots os cousines, aunts and uncles) or small?
Big, definitely big.
How did you start with photography?
I started because of my ME actually, I wanted to capture all the good time with my friends for when I was too sick to join them.. And from there it escalated, I've owned a proper SLR camera (starting with Nikon D60 and then purchasing Nikon D90) form about two years now.
When you think about your childhood, what comes to to your mind first?
Madelen ♥ my cousin. We played a lot together when we were kids.
Were you nice and polite child or "a little devil"? ;]
I was actually sort of both. I was shy and did what I was asked to, but I also fought all the boys, and me and my cousin went on exploring trips in the forest for hours on end we were quite the risk-takers!
Though and soft at the same time. Much like now.
Pictures of me taken by my friend Martin.
