The etymology of the word refers to enclosure: it is from Middle English gardin, from Anglo-French gardin, jardin, of Germanic origin; akin to Old High German gard, gart, an enclosure or compound, as in Stuttgart.

I do miss garden to hang out in.

Luckily my mom lives right by. So me and Nicoline, to Pernille's thrill, sometimes stay the weekend. I think it's good for the old kitty-lady to smell some grass and talk to Pernille a bit.

Cats, grass and sun ♥

  3. oh Marita, i LOVE our 2 cats so much and getting to see yours and your moms play out in the sun makes me wish for a backyard or garden of some kind too so ours could explore. i feel bad that they are indoor cats, especially little Mylo, he's so curious about things and would have loved to be there with your fur babies, in the sun. my heart is all pitter-pattery about this shoot. wonderful photos! ♥

    1. I know how you feel, when I first got Nicoline she was an indoor cat for several years before we moved.
I'm so glad me and her have the opportunity to hang out outside now :)

      Thank you ♥
